Celebration
You would think this one would be easy for us. I mean who doesn’t like to go to a party? But celebration is a bit different than just hiring the balloon guy and buying some cake. The heart of celebration is hitting pause life to enjoy where God has taken us. This celebration was such a big deal for God’s people that commanded it.There were yearly epic parties, parties that happened every 7 years and even ways to go about partying. How cool is that!? God commands us to stop and kick up one's heels, let loose and enjoy. There is something detrimental that happens to souls when we forget to hit pause and be with each other. We forget what we are working for in the first place unless we stop and enjoy.
Throw a party, even on a small scale. Decorate a friend's locker for their birthday, bring some cupcakes just for fun.
Take a day to spot God moments. Can you spot ways that God is working in your life or a friend's life?
Write a note of encouragement to a friend, or take a moment to tell them what's awesome about them.
Make a list of the things you did this month, year or day that you are proud of. Do something that makes you happy in celebration.
Have friends over and ditch the phones at the door.
